Stock video clips in the Storyblocks library, including footage and motion backgrounds, have the following ranges for specifications:
Resolution: Ranges from HD (1080p) to 4K (native 4096 and UHD 3840) and up to 8K (7680)
Format: MP4 and MOV
Frame rate: Ranges from 23.98 fps to 60 fps
Compression: Common codecs are used, including Apple ProRes, H.264, and Motion JPEG (MJPEG)
Aspect ratios: 16:9 for horizontal video, 9:16 for vertical video
VR 360 footage specifications
The exception to the above is for our VR 360 video footage, which includes both stereoscopic (3D) and monoscopic (2D) formats.
Resolution: 4K
Format: MP4
Frame rate: Ranges from 23.98 fps to 60 fps
Compression: Supported codecs include H.264 and H.265 (HEVC), as well as ProRes and Cineform ProRes and Cineform
Aspect ratios:
Stereoscopic (3D): 4:1 (side-by-side) and 1:1 (top/bottom)
Monoscopic (2D): 2:1, 4:1, and 1:1
