How do I add video, audio, or image content to a project in Maker?

Add content from the Storyblocks library or upload your own content

There are two primary ways to add content to a project:

  • Adding content from the Storyblocks library

  • Uploading your own content

To follow along, open an existing project (or start a new one) in Maker.

Adding content from the Storyblocks Library

Search the Storyblocks library directly from the editor

  • Click on the "Search Stock" button on the left-hand menu, which will open a search modal

  • Pick the content type you'd like to search for (Video, Audio, or Images)

  • Enter your search term in the search field in the upper field of the modal

  • Add the content into your project by dragging the file into your timeline, or select the + button on the content

Option 1: Dragging content into the timeline

Option 2: Selecting the + button to add content into the timeline

Add content from folders or another existing collection

  • Click on the "Folders" button on the left-hand menu, which will open a search modal

  • Select the collection that you'd like to open

  • Add the content from that collection to your project

Note: you can add content to folders by searching for content on our core site and clicking the "folder icon" that appears when your mouse is hovering over a piece of content.

Uploading your own content

  • Click on the "Uploads" button on the left-hand menu, which will open a search modal

  • Click the "Upload Media" button & select the source you'd like to upload from

    • In this example, a file is uploaded from "My Device"

  • Select the files that you want to upload

  • Click the "Upload File" button at the bottom of the next modal

Once the upload is completed, you can find the uploaded file in the "Uploads" panel and can then add it into your project.
