To connect the Storyblocks MCP to ChatGPT, you’ll need to have an active subscription.
1. Turn on developer mode, then copy the URL
In order to set up the Storyblocks MCP with ChatGPT, you’ll need to have developer mode turned on.
To turn on developer mode, go to the bottom left inside ChatGPT and click your name to open the menu. Then, click Settings. Inside the settings menu, select Security and login and scroll down to the Developer mode section. Click the toggle for Developer mode to turn it on.
Next, copy the Storyblocks MCP server URL below.
2. Create a new plugin for the MCP
Click this link to open the window to create a New Plugin inside ChatGPT. If that link doesn’t work for you, go to the Plugins page inside ChatGPT, click the plus sign in the upper right corner, and select Create app. Then, click Create MCP App in the bottom left corner of the New Plugin window.
Inside the New Plugin window, type in Storyblocks for the name, then paste in the copied link URL under the Connection box. You can also add a description for the Storyblocks MCP, if you’d like. Keep OAuth as the Authentication setting, then check the box next to the I understand and want to continue block. Next, click the Create button.
3. Log in to Storyblocks
You’ll be brought to Storyblocks to log in to your account. Once you log in, you’ll see a page that allows ChatGPT to access your Storyblocks account. Click the yellow Allow access button to finalize the MCP connection.
Now you’ll be able to use the Storyblocks MCP in requests to ChatGPT, or set up projects or agent tasks using the MCP. You can learn more about how to use the MCP here.
